Mission Statement

Believing that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the core message of our Christian Faith, we offer to youth and young adults the opportunity to encounter and integrate this Paschal Mystery at a time of passage into adulthood.

Teens encounter Christ is a recognized movement of the Roman Catholic Church, offering to youth and young adults and experience of the Paschal Mystery of Jesus. Through evangelization and Catechesis, this intergenerational movement facilitates spiritual growth of youth and young adults with a community of adult mentors. TEC calls forth one's goodness for service in the Church and the world.

Toward this end, the National TEC Conference is committed to provide formation and education of adult leaders, quality resources, and a network of support and communication. The National TEC Conference remains committed to the development of TEC as an integral part of the vision of total youth ministry.

About Tec

Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) is a Three-day Catholic experience in Christian living. TEC is one of the few movements in the Catholic Church that invites youth, young adults, and adults to participate together in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

TEC is specifically designed for those who are searching for deeper meaning, purpose, and hope in life and who want a true relationship with God and a community of believers. TEC's primary goal is to enable youth to encounter Christ.

Through TEC, you are able to:

· Experience a fresh, new opportunity away from home, school and work,
· Meet youth from other areas, parishes, high schools and colleges,
· Share a faith journey with other young men and women, and adults,
· Encounter Jesus Christ, risen and alive today,
· Have time to reflect and to share,
· Become involved with outreach ministry opportunities,
· Learn more about the Catholic Church.
